Video premiere: Benny Sinclair, Vices
We’re excited to today premiere the new video from Melbourne-based hip-hop artist, Benny Sinclair. ‘Vices’ is the first slice from his debut solo album, The Impeccable Word, which also drops this week.
In case you aren’t up to speed with Benny Sinclair, here is the history lesson. He is a former member of hip-hop trio Bouncer, who found early success when their single ‘Charge Like A Bull’ gained traction throughout Australia upon its 2008 release. Now he’s back with a similar brand of funky hip-hop.
Informed by his love of hip-hop and spirituality, Benny’s The Impeccable Word is a musical representation of the four agreements he has adopted and lives his life by, 1) Be impeccable with your word, 2) Don’t take anything personally, 3) Don’t make assumptions, 4) Always do your best.
‘Vices’ is the latest single from the forthcoming album. It touches on “vices” Benny has witnessed amongst the
pockets of Australian culture dealing with tough times. Subjects like drug dealing and addiction to Ice are
confronted over an experimental, driving hip-hop track.
