Crossing The Screen International Film Festival
Mark your diaries because Crossing The Screen International Film Festival returns for its second outing this November! The event takes place across four venues in Eastbourne’s town centre, on the South Coast of England.
Venues include Eastbourne Hippodrome and The Towner Gallery. The Towner provides a beautiful backdrop for the film screenings and a forum panel on women in the film industry, while you can catch student short films at the Hippodrome.
Traditionally, Eastbourne isn’t renowned as being much of a cultural hub. It’s not really on the gig circuit and is better known as a holiday destination for blue-rinsed tourists than anything else. However, the team at Crossing The Screen is committed to helping change the town’s image. By promoting unheard voices and screening a carefully curated selection of films that would be hard to come across elsewhere, they are forging the way for a very successful film festival and helping bring culture to the seaside town. There are absolutely loads of highlights to see, including narrative features and shorts, doccos and animated shorts.
You can catch the second edition of Crossing The Screen International Film Festival in Eastbourne, East Sussex from 23rd-26th November 2017. There is a really exciting selection of films this year, which can be found here: http://crossingthescreen.org/official-selection-2017/
