Interview: Getting to know Timberwolf
Timberwolf is playing at this year’s The Hills Are Alive festival. We asked him to tell us about himself:
I am… a little bit Greek, but heaps hairier on my lower half than my top half.
My current tour is… rejuvinating. It’s also the first time I’ve authentically felt like people are coming to the shows because they have connected with my music, not because I called in way too many favours from friends of friends. It feels unreal, keeps catching me off guard.
Playing at The Hills Are Alive 2018 will be… Like being in Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. Bring on that Champagne tree. Invite me to your camp sites. I want that good shit.
I spend too much time… in an existential vacuum trying to create order and routine in a career completely devoid of such dependencies.
Home is… anywhere I can leave my guitars, boil a percolator, walk around in my jocks and have meaningful conversation.
I’ve never… been able to say it simply.
It might surprise people to learn that… I fucking love cricket and would trade my left testicle to go to the nets with Ricky Ponting.
