Interview: Getting to know Odette
We asked British-born/Australia-based artist Odette to tell us a little about herself:
I am… always anticipating change.
‘Lotus Eaters’ is… a snapshot of my life when I was 16. It was my first spoken word and it reminds me of how difficult it was for me to understand pain but how easy it was for me to express it.
My debut album ’To A Stranger’ is… stronger.
I spend too much time… worrying.
It might surprise people to learn that… I hate dill. It is a terrible, terrible herb and I truly wish it had never been discovered. (Aside from being used in curing pickles…. as long as there isn’t too much of it.)
I’ve never… experienced a wild love. I have always been that for other people.
In the future… I would like to be stronger. I would like to be bolder and wilder.
