The Drop is returning in 2019
If you put Angus & Julia Stone and Alex The Astronaut on the same line-up of any festival then you will most certainly have got our attention. Add a bit of surfing to the mix and we are 100% in!
With this in mind, we’re excited that The Drop is back for its second year, running bigger and better than before and will bring together big names in music and professional surfing for a celebration of music, surf, community culture, and a love of the ocean.
Supported by triple j and the World Surf League (WSL), the 2019 line-up for The Drop features the aforementioned A&J and A The A, along with Australia’s favourite electric-dance act Client Liaison, surf rock legends Hockey Dad and 2 x ARIA Gold Accredited The Jungle Giants. Brisbane’s melancholic pop masters Ball Park Musicwill be stepping in for The Jungle Giants on the Newcastle leg.
The events will take place on the first weekend of each coinciding surfing event of the World Surf League tour, hitting the shores of Coolangatta, Torquay and Busselton WA as well as the two exciting additional stops, WSL Qualifying Series events Surfest Newcastle & the Vissla Sydney Surf Pro in Manly.
