Our top ten tunes of the week – February 22
Check out the tunes that have been lighting our fireworks over the past seven days:
1. Alice Phoebe Lou – Galaxies
We just interviewed the South African singer-songwriter and we love her new track, which was overseen by Grammy-winning producer Noah Georgeson. Check out the excellent accompanying video.
2. Julia Jacklin – Comfort
Hooray! Here’s another video from the creative mind of Julia Jacklin, this time for her track ‘Comfort’, taken from her sophomore album, Crushing, which drops this week. The pastel video was filmed in just one hour by Julia and her close friend/collaborator Nick Mckk.
3. Robyn – Send to Robin Immediately
Robyn has dropped a new video, ahead of her upcoming North American and European dates, her first full tour since 2013.
4. Jai Wolf – Your Way
The New York based indie-electronic artist has delivered a new single, taken from his debut album, The Cure To Loneliness, set to be released on April 5th.
5. Mansionair – We Could Leave
The Sydney trio have confirmed Australian tour dates for May/June this year and dropped a new track off their forthcoming debut album, which lands on 1st March.
6. Little May – Apples
The newly re-formed duo have announced their forthcoming album ‘Blame My Body’ along with the single release of ‘Apples’.
7. Yorke – Wake The City
Yorke recently signed to Island Records. Here is her latest single.
8. Alex Lahey – Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself
Alex Lahey has dropped a shiny new single, It’s ripped fresh from her forthcoming second album, The Best Of Luck Club, which is set for release on May 17.
9. Allday – Wonder Drug
This is the first piece of new music from Allday since the release of his second album, Speeding in 2017.
10. Larkins – TV Dream
The band are playing a massive hometown show at the 2000-capacity Albert Hall in Manchester on March 2nd.
