Our top ten tunes of the week – July 10
These are the ten songs that have been getting us going over the past seven days:
1. Bat For Lashes – Kids In The Dark
Natasha Khan has shared her self-directed music video for the first song off her upcoming record, Lost Girls. The album lands in September.
2. Olympia – Come Back (Exclusive Live Performance)
Olympia has just released her highly-anticipated sophomore album, Flamingo. Alongside the release is this fantastic live video of Come Back. Check it!
3. Tora – Similar
The band have revealed their new single, the video for which stars their friend, the artist/model and creative entrepreneur, Mimi Elashiry.
4. Sam Fender – Will We Talk?
Ahead of his debut Australian shows, including an appearance at Splendour and headline shows in Melbourne & Sydney, Sam Fender has dropped a new single.
5. The Teskey Brothers – So Caught Up
This new track is lifted off their forthcoming sophomore album, Run Home Slow.
6. Beck – Saw Lightning
This new video captures the Grammy-winning artist stripping his latest single down to its bare bones.
7. Kara Marni – Opposite
Here’s the new track from the London artist Kara Marni, who just played at Glastonbury Festival.
8. Cultdreams – Not My Generation
The lo-fi punk/shoegaze duo (formerly known as Kamikaze Girls) have revealed the video for the latest track to be taken from their forthcoming second album, Things That Hurt, set for release on 16th August 2019.
9. Bag Raiders – Wild At Heart ft. Mickey Kojak
This track is taken from their sophomore album, out later this year, and there will also be a headline tour of Australia.
10. The Night Café – Finders Keepers
The band hail from Liverpool in England and have toured with the likes of Circa Waves and The Wombats across Europe, and have performed at Reading & Leeds festivals.
