These are the ten songs that have been getting us going over the past seven days:
1. Tropical Fuck Storm – Who’s My Eugene
After a winning set at Splendour In The Grass last weekend, Tropical Fuck Storm have dropped a new single, taken from their upcoming second LP, Braindrops, due out August 23rd, via Flightless Records.
2. G Flip – Stupid
Melbourne multi-instrumentalist, Georgia Flipo, has announced details of her much-anticipated debut album, entitled About Us, the LP will land on 30th August via Future Classic. To get you in the mood, here’s the latest single to be lifted from it.
3. Sam Smith – How Do You Sleep?
Sam Smith explains, “This year, both personally and musically, I feel so free. More than ever I have had so much fun making this record and this video.
4. Sly Withers – Lately ft. Carla Geneve
The WA indie-punk band have dropped the video for their latest track ahead of their national tour with Melbourne-rockers Slowly Slowly, starting in Hobart this weekend!
5. The Rubens & Vic Mensa – Asleep At The Wheel
Over the next few weeks The Rubens hit the regional roads of NSW with Milan Ring and Shady Nasty in tow.
6. Lisa Caruso – Borrow My Body
Here’s a peek into what can be expected from the songstress’ long awaited debut album, due out later this year.
7. PLANET – Never New
This four-piece out of Sydney played at The Great Escape this year. Check out their new track.
8. Collard – Greyhound
Born just outside of South London, Collard has released his debut album. Here’s a taste.
9. Polish Club – Breakapart
Announced to perform this October and November with DZ Deathrays, the band have dropped a stripped back video of Breakapart.
10. Dom Youdan – Pockets
Dom will be performing ‘Pockets’ live at the Sydney single Launch on Saturday 27th July, alongside folk master, Oly Sherman.
