Getting to know Lincoln Lim

Singapore-based indie-folk artist Lincoln Lim has returned with a new single. We asked him to tell us about himself:

I am… Lincoln Lim, an Electronic Folk singer-songwriter from Singapore (boy that’s a mouthful).

Losing is… my latest single, about the idea of traveling around the world to try to forget about someone but ending up being reminded of that person everywhere you go. It’s both a semi-reflective letter to who I was and a cautionary tale of putting the idea of someone on a pedestal. I hope you’ll love it as much as I do!

Home is… many different places and people to me. Singapore home for my mind, Melbourne for my heart and Bali for my soul, and I’m pretty sure I’m gonna fall in love with many other places down the way.

I spend too much time… thinking about dinner at lunchtime. Singapore is the HARDEST place to keep a diet going.

I’ve never… met an animal I didn’t instantly fall in love with. I’ve taken more street dogs/cats to hotel rooms than booking websites need to know about.

It might surprise people to learn that… I’m a massive nerd. Doctor Who fan meet ups, table top game conventions, you name it and I’ll be there, rocking a fez and sonic screwdriver in hand.

I swear I have friends.
