Interview: Getting to know Caracal
Singapore-based post-hardcore five-piece Caracal have returned with their new single ‘Mouth Of Madness’. We asked them to tell us about themselves:
We are… Caracal, a five-piece post-hardcore outfit from Singapore.
Mouth Of Madness is… our reaction and take on this morality crisis that is gripping our little island. We have a deep respect for religion, but when people use it as an agenda to push down or take power away from others, that’s when it crosses a line for us. The song is sort of a reaction to that, and it sonically tries to capture the rage of those who have had enough of this hypocrisy.
Home is… anywhere with good food!
We spend too much time… eating.
We’ve never… gone bowling together as a band, yet.
It might surprise people to learn that… Field is a carpenter, Gabriel is a tattoo artist and Trent is a lawyer by training.
