Interview: Getting to know Antoine

Melbourne-based R&B artist Antoine has just unveiled his debut single ‘One Time’ – produced and mixed by ServidSounds and mastered by Mix Master Mike. We asked him to tell us about himself:

I am… Antoine. I am a rapper, sort of singer but kind of shit at it ha, songwriter. Teamed up with producer ServidSounds from West Melbourne. Here to try and rejuvenate R&B in this city. A little bit old school, but a little bit new school. We’re rapping, we’re singing, we’re slow jamming. You know the vibes!

One Time is… my debut single, the feel-good track you didn’t know you needed. Summertime vibes, island vibes IFYKYK!! This is just summertime simplicity at its peak. Catchy hook, smooth flowing verses, and a bridge to get down to. We’re here for it!

Home is… West Melbourne. My studio is located in Footscray. That’s where we at, today, tomorrow, last week, a month’s time and always.

I spend too much time… Watching NBA. Man, that shit consumes me fam. The app is the best $275 I spend a year. Sadly, I’m a die-hard Pacers fan, and we ain’t winning no rings any time soon 🙁

I’ve never… won a same game multi haha. Dammit, whyyyy? It’s so rigged. Don’t gamble kids.

It might surprise people to learn that… I actually can’t swim 😂
