Our top ten tunes of the week – October 27

These are the songs that have been on constant rotation in our office over the past seven days:

1. The Cranberries – Zombie

Complete with new footage of the band performing at the Theatre Royal, Limerick in December 1993 – their homecoming show after they had just shot to stardom in the US – and live in Paris, this new video for their classic song contains rare and unseen stuff.

2. Dulcie – Dust

The Perth band is made up of Ashleigh Carr-White, Timieka Denton, Saskia Brittain and Madison Hanley. Check out their new single.

3. The Garden – A Struggle

This is lifted from the album ‘Kiss My Super Bowl Ring,’ which is available now.

4. Lauran Hibberd – Boy Bye

The Isle of Wight native, and previous SYS interviewee, has drawn praise from BBC Radio 1, Billboard, NME and The Line of Best Fit.

5. Tiny Little Houses – Richard Cory

After a two-and-a-half-year hiatus, this new single marks a return for the four-piece, and is inspired by the classic poem of the same title.

6. Kelsy Karter – Goodness Gracious

Fresh from dropping her debut album, the LA-based Kiwi has unleashed a new single.

7. Where the Guardrail Ends – Holding Hands, Wearing Gloves

This is a collaboration between harpist Emily Hopkins and an unnamed singer/lyricist. A debut full-length album is expected to drop before the end of the year.

8. Midnight Drags – Ronnie

This is the solo project of artist Lucas James. Here’s the first slice from his album Bad Business, expected in early 2021.

9. Middle Part – Heartbeat

Brooklyn-based indie pop artist, Andrew Selkōw is set to drop a six-track EP, I Wish I Was Alive. Here’s his new track.

10. Georgia Black – Invisible Enemy

Georgia is a contemporary blues singer from North London, heavily influenced by artists such as Shirley Bassey, Etta James and Peggy Lee.
