Getting to know Odd Tastes

Ballarat-based indie-pop duo Odd Tastes have just dropped their new single ‘IT’S ALRIGHT’. We asked them to tell us about themselves:

We are… Will and Georgina Stephens. Just a couple of twins making music out of Ballarat. We’ve been playing music together for almost 10 years now and are finally starting to make it listenable

‘IT’S ALRIGHT’ is… a song about me (Will) going through a breakup. Being sad about it was super draining and boring, so I just decided to be super cool with the whole thing and write a song about how totally fine it is for someone to break up with you. 

Home is… waking around the supermarket. We actually have a house we live in, but to be honest we spend a lot of time walking around the supermarket. I don’t know why, we just like it. 

We spend too much time… walking. Like, we walk a lot. Almost everywhere. It never stops. We’ve even said that if we could, we would walk forever if we had the proper equipment to do so. 

We’ve never… written a song together. I don’t know why but we have actually never sat down and wrote a song. We probably should to be honest.

It might surprise people to learn that… we have twin powers. It’s hard to explain but we can communicate without talking. And we share spider hallucinations, that’s a long story.
