Getting to Know A Will Away

Connecticut-based rock quartet A Will Away have just released their new single, Re-Up. We asked them to tell us about themselves:

We are… A Will Away. But more specifically, we are John, Matt, Sean, and Manny — a group of individuals from a small blue-collar community in Connecticut called Naugatuck who love to make music together.

Re-Up is… a song about acknowledging that sometimes a small amount of loose cash or a harmless vice can be the only thing standing between you and your ability to be your best self. It’s about waking up every day with a renewed commitment to your goals and the people you share them with and being honest with yourself about what you personally need to show up with a smile on your face.

Home is… Naugatuck, CT. A place that is just as bent as it is broken, but also one of our favourite places on earth.

We spend too much time… smoking weed and talking about things that don’t matter.

We’ve never… felt so excited to share our new music with the world.

It might surprise people to learn that… most people who live in Connecticut are neither wealthy nor well-adjusted. We’re mostly working-class people with a chip on our shoulder.
