Our top ten tunes of the week – July 15

These are the songs that have been lighting our fireworks over the past week or so. Check them out:

1. Jim Bob – Song For The Unsung

The second single from Jim Bob’s forthcoming new album, Who Do We Hate Today, is a fanfare for the everyday heroes too modest to blow their own trumpets.

2. Self Esteem – Prioritise Pleasure

Self Esteem’s forthcoming second album Prioritise Pleasure is set to land on Friday 22nd October. Here’s its title track.

3. Jungle – Romeo featuring Bas

The track is the third to be released from their upcoming album, Loving In Stereo, which will be released on 13th August. This is the first time that they have ever had a feature on one of their tracks.

4. Sam Fender – Seventeen Going Under

The Brit Award winner’s second album, Seventeen Going Under, will be released on October 8th.

5. cookii – our love

This is the first release since their debut mixtape, blossom, which dropped last year. It comes shortly after they signed to new label Coalesce.

6. Logic1000 – Safe In My Arms

The Berlin-via-Sydney artist and producer has returned with her new double A-side release, Safe In My Arms / YourLove.

7. RÜFÜS DU SOL – Alive

The band has released the first new music since their Grammy nominated 2018 SOLACE album.

8. Fortitude Valley – Baby, I’m Afraid

This is the third single to be taken from the Durham-based indie punks’ self-titled debut album, set for release on 29th October 2021.

9. Nicholas Hamilton – Pretty Young

The second track of his upcoming EP of the same name, Pretty Young sees Nicholas again team up with producers Joe Marson and Arthur Pingrey (Sia, Sting).

10. Interstellar Tay – Garden Song
