Wide Awake festival is coming to London

Festivals are back, bebe! Yep, with summer officially having arrived (how is this weather, by the way?), we’re excited to get back into a field with a beer in our hands, watching some of our favourite bands while the sun warms our necks. At the end of what has been, let’s face it, a miserable 16 months, we feel like it’s the least that we all deserve.

One festival we are especially looking forward to is Wide Awake. Anyone from South London will tell you that Brockwell Park is a frickin sweet place to spend some time. So, how do you make a cool place to visit even cooler? Oh, how about filling it with like-minded music lovers and some of the best bands around at the moment? Yup, that’ll do it.

Wide Awake pulls together notes from the underground. It’s a space where leftfield indie mingles with post punk, and electronica dances with techno and jazz. Oh, and it’s all done in the most environmental friendly way possible too.

Having been postponed in 2020 due to Covid-19, Wide Awake festival 2021 brings together some of our favourite bands, including SW London’s finest, and the creators of our 2018 album of the year, shame, who will undoubtedly play plenty of stuff from their absolutely mega second album, which dropped in Jan.

We’re also pumped about seeing an afternoon set from the brilliant Idles, and turns from the amazing Los Bitchos, Goat Girl, Dream Wife, and heaps more.

Do yourself a favour and book a ticket to the festival, which is happening on Sept 3rd. By then, hopefully you’ll be all vaccined up (or at least one jab down), and absolutely pumped to be able to see real, actual live music again.

Details below the poster. See you there. WE CANNOT WAIT!
