Our top ten tunes of the week – July 28

These are the songs that have been getting us going over the past week. Give them a listen and find a new favourite:

1. Caroline Polachek – Bunny Is A Rider

This track is Caroline’s first release since her recent cover of The Corrs Breathless and her first original music since her critically acclaimed 2019 debut solo album PANG.

2. LUMP – Gamma Ray

LUMP is the product of Mike Lindsay & Laura Marling. Their new album is out on July 30th. We can’t wait.

3. Lorde – Stoned at the Nail Salon

The is the second track from the Grammy Award-winning multiplatinum artist’s highly anticipated third studio album, Solar Power, which will be released on on August 20th.

4. Semantics – Sleep at Night

The Brisbane alt-rock/punk band’s new single comes alongside news that they’ve signed to the legendary US label SideOneDummy Records.

5. Samia – As You Are 

This is taken from the brand new EP, Scout, scheduled for digital release on July 23 and physically on August 13.

6. Choosing Sides – Flicker

“I found out that if the history of the universe was put into the perspective of 24 hours – human history only lasts a few seconds, just a flicker in history,” frontman Will Wright explains of the Adelaide band’s new single.

7. Bipolar Sunshine – GONE

The Manchester born, Los Angeles based artist (real name Adio Marchant) has also shared the video for his new single, directed by Cole Daly.

8. Nora Lilith x M-Cubed – Misfed

Nora grew up with one foot in Berlin, Germany and another in Austin, TX. Here’s her new single.

9. Stevan – Hope It’s Not 

This is the artist’s first standalone single after his sophomore mixtape release last year, Ontogeny, and since his collaboration earlier this year with Taka Perry in Twenty.
