Our top ten tunes of the week – May 27

These are the songs that we’ve been on heavy rotation on our stereo this week:

1. Haiku Hands – Bye Bye

Fresh from tearing it up on their Australian headline tour, the Sydney-via-Melbourne three-piece have shared their thumping new single.

2. Oliver Sim – Hideous

Enlisting the help of lifelong hero and “guardian angel” Jimmy Somerville on guest vocals, the single sets the scene for the forthcoming album and sees Sim speaking publicly for the first time that he’s been living with HIV since the age of seventeen.

3. DIVES – Ego

The Vienna 3-piece have toured with Courtney Barnett, and are dropping an album in October.

4. Mahne Frame – slep

Check out the new one from the Tokyo-via-Blue Mountains avant-pop electronic producer and multi-instrumentalist.

5. Amy Sheppard – Nothing But Wild

You may know Amy Sheppard for taking to the stage with her siblings in the band Sheppard. Now, she is embarking as a solo country-pop artist, and here’s her debut single.

6. Tilly Valentine – Plus One

Tilly’s latest single is about manifesting that you’ll find the right person. Have a listen.

Check out the new single from Jesse Jo Stark, the first from her upcoming album, DOOMED, set for release in September.

8. Local the Neighbour – Point Guard
