Getting to know Verticoli

Nipaluna/Hobart-based alternative-rock trio Verticoli have today revealed their new single, Sailor. We asked them to tell us about themselves:

We are… Verticoli, Tasmania’s only three-piece alt. rock band, starting with a V. V for Verticoli. 

‘Sailor’ is… our latest single from our upcoming sophomore album ‘The Echo’. ‘Sailor’ is the second-best song on the album. The best being ‘The Echo’ itself! It’s a song about two people who are very similar but simultaneously very different. It’s a song about having a broad definition of success and failure. But, most of all, it’s a cool song. 

Home is… Hobart. The best place in the world. The rock ‘n’ roll capital of Tasmania. We’re glad our music video can do justice to the beauty of the place. 

We spend too much time… organising shit. It’s all about the music. We just wanna make and play the best music we can. But we have a nice little team of helpers now, Alex and Lachie in particular, who make our lives easier. So shout out to you two. 

We’ve never… doubted you! 

It might surprise people to learn that… we’ve been doing this for a pretty long time.
