Our top ten tunes of the week – October 7

1. Gena Rose Bruce – Foolishly In Love
The Melbourne-based, AMP-nominated artist returns with a new single. “I was asking myself, ‘Am I meant for one sort of relationship?’.” says Bruce of the track. “I think it’s an important question to ask, to really just have a frank conversation about those feelings.”
2. Hannah Blackburn – Elvis Presley
The Naarm songwriter says, “This song is a love song to a chapter in my life that was forced to close. It pays tribute to the era of avoiding your own feelings but staying out dancing.”
3. Natalie Shay – Heaven
The indie-pop artist from North London has dropped a new single.
4. Winnie Raeder – I Never Danced
This new single follows the Danish musician’s five-chapter audio/visual project, I Could Swim, which was released back in the spring.
5. Fazerdaze – Break
The New Zealand singer/producer/multi-instrumentalist will be releasing her highly anticipated EP and first project in over five years, Break!, on Friday 14th October. Here’s the title track.
6. PRICIE – Big Girls
The Melbourne based singer-songwriter-producer further teasing her forthcoming EP.
7. HOLY POPES – DBT
The Bristol-based trio (which includes guitarist Dominic Knight from The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster) have signed to Hull-based independent label Man Demolish Records.
8. GAZAL – Let You Go
The Sydney-based songwriter and artist has dropped her new single and accompanying video.
9. DOWNGIRL – Manic
The explosive and energetic femme nu punk/grunge-rockers have dropped a new tune.
10. Ash Lune – Autophobic
This new tune comes ahead of EP The Mind Palace, which will land on 4th November.
