Getting to know Belle Haven
Naarm/Melbourne-based pop/punk band Belle Haven have shared their new single ‘fauxlove’. We asked them to tell us about themselves:
We are… Belle Haven, three men passionate about creating authentic, unique, and emotive music.
‘fauxlove’ is… the first single from our new EP, ‘something new’, releasing October 4th. It’s a song that explores the push and pull of craving intimacy while fearing it, capturing some of the complexities of love.
Home is… Naarm/Melbourne, Australia. Or anywhere we’re together, writing music. Or anywhere we can connect with our fans. Or anywhere we can create a sense of belonging, community, and purpose.
We spend too much time… at the gym or sending each other pictures of our meals—or at least, that’s what some people say. It feels like just the right amount of time to us.
We’ve never… We’ve never cracked the top 50 on the ARIA charts, but we’re really trying to change that with something new. You can help us achieve that goal right now by pre-ordering a copy.
It might surprise people to learn that… we technically don’t have a drummer in the band. We mostly write drums using a MIDI map or by simply making weird sounds with our mouths, like “boom boom ka bang blam psh psh”.
