Interview: Getting to know SOMA
Sydney artist SOMA has unveiled her new single, Say It, ahead of the release of her debut mixtape, Cobra, on Friday 21st February. We asked her to tell us about herself:
I am… SOMA; a Sydney-based artist who is constantly evolving through the art of sound and soul, grounded in experiences both heavy and beautiful.
2025 has so far been… a year of new beginnings and deeper self discovery, where every challenge feels like it is shaping a bigger vision for the future.
My upcoming Cobra launch shows will be… an Immersive experience- showcasing all of my latest material for the very first time. An opportunity to share space and connect on a deeper level.
Home is… a place of peace and creativity, where I feel most aligned with my true self, whether it’s a physical space or a state of mind.
I spend too much time… reflecting on the past and the “what ifs”, but its all a part of getting closer to who I am meant to be.
I’ve never… fully settled for the status quo; always seeking something deeper, something real, and pushing the boundaries in every part of my life.
