I Killed The Prom Queen announce 25th anniversary tour

A legacy reignited – October 2025.
I Killed The Prom Queen will return to the stage in October 2025 to mark 25 years since their formation — a milestone tour bringing together founding members for the first time in years, to celebrate one of the founding bands of the Australian heavy music scene.
From packed-out clubs to international tours, and from their seminal debut When Goodbye Means Forever… to the genre-shaping Music for the Recently Deceased, IKTPQ forged the path for Australian metalcore. Now, they return to celebrate a movement they helped create.
With numerous line up changes, Michael Crafter will be leading the band out on vocals for this tour with guitarists Jona Weinhofen and Kevin Cameron, and drummer JJ Peters from the original line up. Jamie Hope will be joining on base to cover for the band’s late bassist Sean Kennedy.
WITH SPECIAL GUESTS:
- Emmure (USA) – ferocious deathcore/hardcore heavyweights
- To The Grave – Sydney’s rising deathcore juggernauts
- Threshold – Melbourne’s modern metalcore rising stars

ABOUT I KILLED THE PROM QUEEN:
Formed in 2000 in Adelaide, I Killed The Prom Queen helped pioneer the Australian metalcore movement. Known for their crushing breakdowns, intricate melodies, and emotionally raw lyrics, their albums became scene classics and influenced countless bands around the globe. After years of lineup changes, tours, and time apart, the original spirit of Prom Queen returns — louder, heavier, and with purpose.
This tour is more than a reunion — it’s a celebration of their legacy and a tribute to the fans who stood by them across decades.
