Our top ten tunes – April 2025
Here are the songs that have been getting us going over the past month:
1. the stamps – jamie’s song
Naarm/Melbourne via Walyalup/Fremantle trio Scarlett Graham, Rubina Bertolini and Sofia Hourani will release their debut album In All The Ways I Am, on August 8th.
2. Billie Marten – Leap Year
This is lifted from the UK artist’s forthcoming album, Dog Eared, out July 18th.
3. Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers – BALCONY
Ahead of their return to the US next month to support Pearl Jam, the Aussies drop their first new single for the year.
4. Jim Bob – Victoria Knits The Wars
Jim has two new albums out on 22nd August. Not a double album. Two separate albums. Yes please.
5. Spacey Jane – Through My Teeth
This is the third offering from their forthcoming album, If That Makes Sense, set for release on 9th May.
6. Alice Ruby – December
The Naarm/Melbourne artist’s first single is accompanied by a nostalgic music video shot on 16mm film at her friend’s grandma’s house.
7. Ziggy Alberts – Feeling Blue
This new video comes after album New Love peaked at #2 on the ARIA Australian Albums chart.
8. spill tab – Hold Me
The rapidly ascendant French/Thai artist’s debut album, Angie, lands next month.
9. St Catherine’s Child – New Eden
The transatlantic indie folk/Americana artist is set to release her highly anticipated debut album, This Might Affect You, on June 15th.
10. Nicholas Brown – Don’t Mind Me
The Sydney based artist has teamed up with Perth based ARIA-chart topping DJ Mind Electric for this new track.
