Our top ten tunes – May 2025

Here are the songs that we have been loving over the past month:

1. Billie Marten – Swing

This is the latest single ahead of new album, Dog Eared, in July. The video was shot in Piha, New Zealand, continuing the visual collaboration with Frances Carter, following Billie’s recent Aus/NZ tour and Beyond the Valley performance.

2. Pulp – Got to Have Love 

This new single is taken from the legends’ hotly-anticipated new album, More, out June 6th.

3. G Flip – Disco Cowgirl

“‘Disco Cowgirl’ is the first taste of a new era,” the Aussie artist says about their new track. “It’s the first stop on a larger ride that I can’t wait to share with the world.”

4. Romanie – Uh Oh

The multi-award-winning Naarm/Melbourne-via-Belgium alt/indie artist has shared her first new music since debut album Are We There Yet?.

5. Salarymen – Truth

The Eora-based duo have shared the second instalment from their hotly-anticipated debut album.

6. Jorja Smith – The Way I Love You

Off the back of her North American tour, the acclaimed British singer storms back into the spotlight with her first single of 2025

7. ixaras – This City

Check this one out from the Meanjin/Brisbane-based DIY artist.

8. Parcels – Yougotmefeeling (Live)

Parcels have announced that their third studio album, LOVED, will land on 12th September.

9. Caamp – Mistakes

This is one-half of a double single which gives a taste of the band’s forthcoming album, Copper Changes Colour.

10. Harvey Sutherland – Cigarette

This is the third in the Melbourne producer’s series of stripped-back dancefloor tracks.
