Interview: Getting to know Cloning
Selling out shows around Australia and racking up millions of streams, Perth indie act Cloning have dropped their new single, Just As You Are. We asked them to tell us about themselves:
We are… four friends making Alt-Rock / Shoegaze from Perth, Western Australia. Having the time of our lives making tunes that make us happy and sharing them with our fans.
2025 has so far been… really fulfilling, we feel more people than ever are digging our tunes which is super exciting and really motivates us to keep putting them out.
Our upcoming single/album/tour will be… a secret because it hasn’t been announced.
Home is… Perth, Western Australia. Bevan, our guitarist grew up in Kalgoorlie though, and moved to Perth, joining the band after he finished school.
We spend too much time… doom scrolling archeology documentaries on YouTube, pretty interesting stuff, rock & roll 4 life.
We never… get sliced tomatoes on Margherita pizza. Always no sliced tomatoes on a Margherita pizza for us, just how god intended it.
