The Ghost Inside in Sydney – review and photos

The Ghost Inside brought pure energy and emotion to Sydney’s Enmore Theatre last night (24th Oct), supported by Glasgow heavyweights Bleed From Within and local metalcore outfit Broken Earth. The near-capacity crowd was a mix of young fans and long-time followers, all eager to witness two bands with nearly two decades of history each take the stage.

Broken Earth kicked off the night with an explosive set that immediately won over the audience. Their enthusiasm and raw energy set the tone perfectly, likely earning them a legion of new fans before the night was through.

Next up, Bleed From Within made their long-awaited Australian debut and you’d never have guessed it was their first time here. The crowd erupted from the first note, moshing and screaming along to every song. Clearly, their fanbase Down Under has been quietly thriving. Between tracks, the band expressed their gratitude for the warm Aussie welcome, laughing about how Australia might be one of the few countries where calling the crowd a “c***” is endearing, to the audience’s roaring approval.

After seeing the show of hands from the crowd of who knew the band and their music, it would be a fair wager that the band will look to make it back here in the future, maybe as a headliner, hopefully bringing some other bands yet to grace our shores.

Then came The Ghost Inside, seasoned veterans and no strangers to Australian stages. Their set was a perfect blend of old anthems and newer hits, with the crowd singing every word. Between songs, frontman Jonathan Vigil shared heartfelt reflections on their journey and resilience, a reminder of the powerful story behind their return to the stage.

They reflected on the Aussie bands that have brought them here for tours in the past, name dropping some of our biggest acts such as Parkway Drive, The Amity Affliction and I Killed the Prom Queen. It was clear their music continues to connect deeply with fans still, some of whom brought their kids along, passing down the soundtrack of their youth to a new generation.

The night was a celebration of endurance, community, and heavy music at its best. With stellar performances, genuine emotion, and a packed room of fans old and new, The Ghost Inside’s Sydney show was a triumph, a night of great bands, great vibes, and an even greater sense of connection.
