Something You Said’s top albums of 2025

There have been some fab releases in 2025. Here are the Top 10 albums, as voted for by Team Something You Said

1. Stella Donnelly – Love and Fortune

What a return from the Australian Welsh artist and SYS favourite. Stella’s third studio album deals with a friendship breakup, and is as beautiful as it is quietly devastating.

2. Pulp – More

The return of which none of could have dreamed a handful of years ago. More is both loyal to the band’s history and very much positioned in the now. It’s hard to imagine how a Pulp album in 2025 could have possibly been any better.

3. Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers – Glory

Punchy, singalong, melodic punk that is full of love and life.

4. Lily Allen – West End Girl

Brutal. And who the fuck is Madeline?

5. Geese: Getting Killed

The New York City band’s highly-anticipated third studio album did not disappoint.

6. Billie Marten – Dog Eared

“It’s a fun, fluid, collaborative record with lots of bends and twists and turns, like a water slide,” said Billie herself when we interviewed her about it

7. Folk Bitch Trio – Now Would Be a Good Time

Dreamy, luscious folk music.

8. Divine Comedy – Rainy Sunday Afternoon

Recorded at Abbey Road, this is the band’s 13th album. It’s also one of their best.

9. Suede – Antidepressants

They’re just getting better with age, aren’t they?

10. Caroline – Caroline 2

Mesmerising stuff from the British band. Also, the appropriately first-named Caroline Polachek pops up on Tell Me I Never Knew That.
