Getting to know The Sooks
Eora/Sydney-based indie outfit The Sooks have returned with their new single. We asked them to tell us more:
We are… The Sooks. A five-piece indie rock band from Western Sydney.
‘Take It Slow’ is… our new single. It’s a song about self-acceptance and telling your own story despite what others think. We hope you’se love it.
Home is… Western Sydney. We all live within a 15-minute drive of each other, and most of us have known each other for over 10 years.
We spend too much time… at gigs. We love watching other local bands in the Sydney scene.
We’ve never… played a gig outside of Australia. Fingers crossed we will one day! That would be so sick.
It might surprise people to learn that… our drummer, Flynn, can basically play any instrument… guitar, piano, bass, and obviously drums, haha.
