Susanne Sundfør is refreshingly risqué
As if Norwegian songstress Susanne Sundfør’s unbelievably stunning vocal wasn’t enough to captivate us, she’s only gone and thrown a refreshingly risqué and decidedly not safe for work video clip into the mix. The accompanying visuals for The Silicone Veil, the title track from her first UK album rerlease, are surreal and sexy and compliment her breed of dark, atmospheric, electronic music really strongly.
Susanne Sundfør is set to release her three previous albums for the first time in the UK on the 8th April through Sonnet Sound and she will also play a one-off London Communion show at Hoxton Bar and Kitchen on 11th March. Get tickets for the show here.
Sundfør’s back catalogue albums range from experimental electronica in A Night At Salle Pleyel to a live recording of her debut album, Take One. The Brothel is a standout LP which in 2010 went on to become the biggest selling album of the year in Norway. These releases reveal her depth of talent and complexity and each one tells the story of how this compelling singer/songwriter found her voice.
