Something You Said DJs hit Eastbourne

You obviously already knew that we bring you amazing articles here at Somethingyousaid.com, but were you aware we spin the tuuuuuunes on the ones-and-twos as well? Well, we do, and Bobby Six and 25ThC from this very website are performing for FREE in Eastbourne, in England’s East Sussex, this Saturday night, the 2nd March.

Eastbourne, you say? Well, yes, while the sleepy seaside town might be better known for blue-rinsed old-timers than banging tunes, there are some cool nights that happen there. The Cribs played there not too long ago, there is a new monthly rock n soul dance party going down (more about this soon) and there is the longstanding Funky Junk. So if you head along to Funky Junk at the Dew Drop Inn on South Street in the town centre from 9pm, you can see/hear the deadly duo spinning a sick mash-up of styles, including dub, ska, reggae, funk, hip hop, rock and roll, brass, dnb, jungle and much more.

SYS reviewer/photographer, 25ThC, is also the founder of Funky Junk and has graced venues in London, Brighton and Eastbourne, while SYS Editor-in-Chief Bobby has played all over Sydney, including a six-month residency at the world famous Oxford Art Factory. The two of them are known for putting together eclectic sets, so, as long as you like shaking those hips and moving those footsies of yours, then there’ll be something in the mix that suits your musical inclination.

We’ll see you there on Saturday for a beer and a boogie. The last time these two played together it went off big time, so don’t miss out on the awesomeness.
