Inc. – No World album review

Somethingyousaid.com checks out the first longplayer from inc:

The thinking behind Inc.’s debut album, No World, is a fusion of oldschool RnB and soul music. When I heard this, I was intrigued. I wanted to hear more, to see if the idea worked when put into practise. From the moment I listened to The Place, the first track on the album, I’ll admit I was hooked. It was everything that I expected it to be; sensual and deep, it reminded me of a time when music wasn’t about drugs, or sex, or fighting. No World is a breath of fresh air in the world of RnB where it was so desperately needed.

Inc. is the brainwave of two LA-based brothers, Andrew and Daniel Aged. Inspired by their love of oldschool RnB and soul music, the brothers are no strangers to the scene. Having been on tour with some notable acts like Cee-Lo Green, Pharrell Williams and 50 Cent, their musical influences are also noticeable in the songs on No World. Andrew’s soft, breathy vocals can physically send shivers down your spine, and if you close your eyes, it’s almost as if he’s whispering his lyrics into your ear. Daniel’s rhythmic bass lines only help to enhance that feeling as you drift off into a world of pure euphoria.

I for one can’t wait for to watch Inc. live in action, but for now, I’ll have to make do with No World and hope that they’ll gig near me someday soon.
