Ghostpoet London ticket giveaway

Ghostpoet-Hackney-580-1

Having sold out Village Underground in a heartbeat, Ghostpoet returns to the stage at the grandiose Hackney Empire in London: a unique setting to witness his unstoppable, mesmerising live performance. And the best thing is that we’re GIVING AWAY a DOUBLE PASS to the event.

Obaro Ejimiwe, or Ghostpoet to you and me, is one of the most distinct, uncategorizable and forward-thinking voices to emerge in British music for ages.

So much so that he was rewarded with a surprise Mercury Prize nomination in 2011 for his album Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam. It was a sudden rise for a man who for whom news of a record deal came in the same week that he was made redundant from his office job in insurance.

On his latest album, Some Say I So I Say Light, he pushes even further in all directions than on Peanut Butter Blues, mixing the abstract and the concrete with uncanny skill. He’ll be joined at Hackney Empire by singer/songwriter Andrew Ashong and there’ll be a DJ set from Thom Alt-J too! Amazing.

The gig is on Thursday 24 October and we’ve got a FREE PAIR OF TICKETS to give away. All you’ve got to do to be in with a chance of winning is answer one simple question. Just hit the button below to enter:
