Airling, Ouroboros – New music
Heads up everyone, here’s an exciting new artist emerging out of Australia. Introducing Airling, the new musical project from Brisbane’s Hannah Shepherd. The artist has just dropped her debut track, Ouroboros (pronounced “o-rob-o-ros”) on Soundcloud today, and we are loving it. The song is produced by Big Scary’s Tom Iansek, and sees ethereal vocals combining with lush electronics and beats to create something woozy, dreamlike and mesmerising. it’s the kind of track that washes over you and immerses you.
Airling’s first recordings came about when Shepherd was contributing vocals to Iansek’s new #1 Dads LP. There, she started to share some of her own ideas, eventually returning to the studio with Iansek to record her songs. The project grew from this, with Airling becoming the first non-Big Scary-associated release on the band’s label, Pieater.
