Happy Mondays in Sydney – photos

Last week, Happy Mondays brought the party to the Enmore Theatre in Sydney, when they played their seminal album Pills ’n’ Thrills and Bellyaches in full from start to finish.

The 1990 album was produced by Paul Oakenfold and Steve Osborne, sold by the bucketload and put the Manchester band firmly on the map as one of the most influential acts to come out of the UK in the early 1990s. Singles such as Step On and Kinky Afro still sounded brilliant at the Enmore Theatre, all these years on.

We sent photographer Courtney Dabb along to capture the cracking show, which saw the band encore with a few cheeky treats including, Hallelujah and 24 Hour Party People. Awesome support came from The Lulu Raes.
