Our top ten tunes of the week – March 13

These are the songs that have been getting us going over the past seven days. Check them out:

1. Angie McMahon – Pasta

Angie has dropped her new single, Pasta, accompanied by the singer-songwriter’s first official video. Pasta is taken from her forthcoming debut album Salt, which is due for release later this year.

2. The National – You Had Your Soul With You

The song features the vocals of long-time David Bowie collaborator Gail Ann Dorsey. Excitingly, The National’s forthcoming album, I Am Easy To Find lands in May.

3. Chloe Howl – Millionaire

Of the new tune, Chloe says: “It’s about making someone realise that they already have everything they ever wanted.”

4. Dean Lewis – 7 Minutes

The song is taken from his highly-anticipated debut album, A Place We Knew, while the clip was directed by Stevie Russell (Kodaline) and shot in various locations in LA.

5. Blush’ko – Like a Heartbeat

Following on from touring Australia with Flint Eastwood, Melbourne-based Macedonian-born artist Blush’ko (FKA Blasko) has just revealed his new single.

6. Birdz –On The Run

Alongside this new single release, Birdz has announced that his Place of Dreams EP will enter the world on May 3rd.

7. Karen O & Danger Mouse – Turn The Light

As collaborations go, it doesn’t get much more exciting than Karen O and Danger Mouse. Here’s a tune from their forthcoming collaborative album Lux Prima, out this week.

8. Pearl The Girl – Little Animal

The Australian indie rocker has just released her new single and video and has also announced a run of tour dates to celebrate the release of her forthcoming debut album, Just A Phase.

9. NYNE – I Think You’re

Check out the new single from the mysterious underground-pop artist.

10. RAAVE TAPES – stabs
