Our top ten tunes of the week – May 14

These are the songs that have been buttering our bread over the past seven days:

1. Alex Cameron – Miami Memory

This new video is directed by Alex, and stars himself, his business associate and sax player Roy Molloy and actress, Jemima Kirke. Alex will be heading back on the road this year on a European and North American tour.

2. Stella Donnelly – Die

Having just completed her North American and European tour, Stella has now returned to Australia. She will play three sold-out VIVID Live shows at the Sydney Opera House and support American alt-pop star Maggie Rogers on her Australian headline tour. Later this month, she will return to Europe to play a string of festival dates, including Glastonbury.

3. The Head And The Heart – People Need A Melody

The track is the third to be taken from the band’s upcoming album, Living Mirage, out May 17th via Parlophone Records / Reprise Records.

4. World Champion – Skyline

The band’s sophomore EP, Skyline, is out now via Future Classic. Have a look at the video for the title track.

5. SAFIA – Resolution

The clip follows Mongolian sumo wrestler Tuvshinjargal Bum-Erdene. Give it a look.

6. Jack River – Adolescent

Jack River has dropped her nostalgic video for ‘Adolescent’. Check it!

7. Dope Lemon – Hey You

Dope Lemon, aka Angus Stone, will perform this August at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney, Tivoli in Brisbane, Palais Theatre in Melbourne, HQ in Adelaide and Metropolis in Perth, followed by a 16-date UK and European tour.

8. Delacey – My Man

Originally from Orange County, Delacey started writing songs and playing piano at age seven while idolizing the likes of Stevie Nicks and Billie Holiday.

9. The Teskey Brothers – Hold Me

‘Hold Me’ comes with the announcement of the band’s second album Run Home Slow which will be released on Friday 2nd August.

10. Antony & Cleopatra – Why Don’t You Just Call Me

Experimenting on this single, the duo have steered away from their usual house driven tracks heard on the previous EP to a 90s disco banger.
