Interview: Getting to know du0

Following on from releasing his debut single ‘Bits of Tape’, Brisbane-based artist, du0, has just unveiled his follow-up track. We asked him to tell us about himself:

I am… du0, a songwriter and producer from Brisbane.

‘It’s OK’ is… the name of my new song – I wrote and produced this bad boy. Lyrically it delves into the delicate nature of relationships and how they can fail when they’re unbalanced and when people feel they are being taken advantage of.

Home is… in the studio with a glass of red wine or hanging out with my family eating sushi.

I spend too much time… writing lyrics in excel and scouring the net searching for obscure Foleys to put in my songs. ‘It’s OK’ has a German flight transmission in it.

I’ve never… liked mangos.

It might surprise people to learn that… I used to play in a rock band that has supported Jimmy Barnes & The Screaming Jets.
