Our top ten tunes of the week – August 14

These are the songs that have been on constant rotation in our office over the past seven days:

1. Kylie Minogue – Say Something

If ever there was a time that the world needed Kylie’s disco revival to cheer us all up, it’s in this absolute bin-fire of a year. So here’s the first single released from her album, DISCO, which is out on November 6th.

2. Tropical Fuck Storm – Legal Ghost

The band are back with with a brand new 7 inch, which was recorded at Dodgy Brothers Studio in Central Victoria, right before the world disappeared indoors.

3. Future Islands – Thrill

The Baltimore group will release As Long As You Are, their sixth studio record, on Friday 9 October.

4. Teischa – be alone

The Fremantle-born artist has revealed her new single, which is taken from a greater body of work due later in 2020

5. Joey Vriend – Like the River

This is the third single from Joey’s upcoming debut album Hiding at first Light, which will be released in Fall 2020.

6. IDLES – Model Village

This is the latest single from the band’s forthcoming LP Ultra Mono – out Friday 25 September.

7. Salarymen – Runaway

The song was written about wanting to escape the stresses of modern life and the isolation imposed by COVID-19 lockdowns.

8. thisisNAMASTE – Girl I Got You

Natasha Marie Stewart started out her career backing singing with Rita Ora, Ella Eyre, Bebe Rexha and MartinGarrix. Here’s her latest slice.

9. The Clockworks – Can I Speak to a Manager?

Formed in Galway and drawn together by a mutual appreciation of post-punk’s darkest corners, The Clockworks have since relocated to London. Check their new tune!

10. TRYHARD – Dopamine
