Gwenno to star at HowTheLightGetsIn 2022
The world’s largest music and philosophy festival, HowTheLightGetsIn, is back for a magical weekend on the grounds of Hampstead Heath in London this autumn.
In light of the death of Queen Elizabeth II, and the festival’s proximity to the State funeral, the original date of September 17th-18th has been postponed and the festival will now take place on October 1st-2nd 2022. This decision has been made in agreement with English Heritage who care for Kenwood, and have cancelled all of their events across the site.
All tickets remain valid and tickets are still available.
One of the standout acts is sure to award-winning Welsh artist Gwenno, who has just been shortlisted for this year’s Mercury Music Prize. Also on the impressive bill are jazz artist Rosie Frater-Taylor, cabaret stars Bourgeois & Maurice, Amber Burgoyne, i.am.afiya, Vanity Fairy, and Lichen. Gigi Williams, Emily Parish, Katie Mac, Mali Hayes, Torture and The Desert Spiders, and Me & Deboe will also perform, and there are many other acts still to be revealed.
This September’s theme is Error and Renaissance, with the first batch of speakers including Australian moral philosopher Peter Singer, critically acclaimed author Esther Freud, Labour politician Thangam Debbonaire, cognitive psychologist Donald Hoffman, British novelist Alex Wheatle, revered journalist Amelia Gentleman and leading neurosurgeon Henry Marsh.
There will be over 200 events taking place across the festival, as well as a festival bookshop and The Waterfront restaurant. We can’t wait!
Tickets for the full weekend are available now. Students and under 25s are eligible for a cheeky 30% discount. For tickets and details, go here.
