Comeback Kid, Drain and Heists in Sydney
On Saturday 21st January, Comeback Kid hit Crowbar in Sydney. The barrier was nowhere to be seen, and punters walking into the venue knew this was going to be a show to remember. We sent Adam Davis-Powell along to capture the magic:
First up, Heists took to the stage bringing their Sydney style of hardcore mixed with a twinge of metalcore. The pit opened up, with long-time supporters of the band screaming many of the lyrics and throwing down shapes.
Drain were next up, hailing from Austin, TX but now residing in Santa Cruz. The room was full to the rafters with stage divers and circle pitters alike. Crowbar removing the barrier was a smart move for this show.
Headliners, Comeback Kid who’ve been touring for 20+ years then brought the sweat and passion to the stage. They made notable mentions to the owners of Crowbar, and thanked them for supporting such a flourishing and passionate culture in Australia.
This was a night of damn fun music, and mostly staging diving, and good times all round. Check the photos below:
