Wide Awake Festival is heading back to Brockwell Park in London in May, and another round of massive acts has now been added to the already amazing line-up.

Our fave London festival has an equal gender split and it prides itself on a dynamic celebration of independent music and counter-culture featuring leftfield indie, post-punk, electronica, techno and everything in-between. And that is reflected in the line-up.

Already announced are the likes of a huge headliner slot from the incredible Caroline Polachek, as well as sets from Daniel Avery, Oneohtrix Point Never, Jockstrap, Shygirl, and Osees, and now the independent festival has additionally confirmed that Alex GViagra Boys, Black Country, New Road, Two Shell, Tirzah, Los Bitchos, Civic, Wasted Youth, Clamm, O., Nice Biscuit, Jjuuujjuu and Warmduscher are heading to SW London.

We’re especially excited about the inclusion of Alex G, as well as Swedish punks Viagra Boys and the Aussie act, Nice Biscuit, who blew us away at The Great Escape in 2019. And of course, we CANNOT WAIT to see global sensation Caroline Polachek, whose forthcoming album is set to land on 14th February. We haven’t seen her live since the week before the first lockdown, when she performed in London with Blu DeTiger.

Here’s the full line-up:

Continuing to advocate independent brands, Wide Awake has invited the London Brewers Market managed by the Five Points Brewing Co who will be serving onsite.

Meanwhile, legendary London record store, Rough Trade, will be back in the field with a killer line-up of album signings.

There will also be a series of pre-parties at two iconic London venues, the Brixton Windmill, just up the road from Brockwell Park, and EARTH in Hackney. Stay tuned for more info

Wide Awake will be supporting the charity, Something To Look Forward To this year. The charity run a website for people with cancer and their families to access a variety of gifts generously donated by people and companies. The festival will also be working with the charity Music Minds Matter to provide access to mental health resources and support for artists and crew.

Wide Awake will take place on Saturday 27th May 2023 at Brockwell Park, London. Tickets are on sale here.
