Los Angeles punk mainstays The Bronx are bringing something unlike anything Australia has seen before: the Super Show! Band on Band Action!, where both The Bronx and their wildly imaginative alter ego Mariachi El Bronx perform back-to-back in a single, integrated nine-piece spectacle.

This isn’t a typical double bill. It’s a sonic fusion, blistering hardcore punk shifting into sweeping mariachi-inspired arrangements, and back again, all in one high-energy set constructed to celebrate both sides of one of punk’s most creative outfits.

About The Bronx

Formed in Los Angeles in 2002, The Bronx quickly built a reputation as one of the most explosive punk bands of their generation. With a fierce live show and a catalog of hard-charging albums, they’ve remained true to their roots while constantly pushing their own boundaries.

Over the years they’ve toured extensively, including past Australian shows and festival appearances, earning a ferocious reputation down under for sweat-soaked intensity and unfiltered rock ’n’ roll commitment.

Their music blends feral energy, razor-sharp riffs, and the kind of storytelling that’s as visceral as it is melodic. A punk rock force that refuses to stand still.

About Mariachi El Bronx

What started as an experimental detour from The Bronx’s hardcore persona has grown into a beloved and distinctive artistic identity. Since debuting in 2008–2009, Mariachi El Bronx has turned traditional mariachi sounds on their head and infused them with punkcraft attitude and Los Angeles flair.

Though very different in style from The Bronx, Mariachi El Bronx draws from the same emotional well: storytelling rooted in working-class grit and cultural spirit. This project has taken the band across the world, and now returns to Australia as part of this unforgettable Super Show! run.

In 2026 they’re also gearing up to release their first new full-length in over a decade, Mariachi El Bronx IV, giving Aussies a chance to hear fresh material alongside classic favourites.
