Hudson Freeman announces first Australian solo tour

After a breakout year where his music resonated with audiences worldwide, indie-folk songwriter Hudson Freeman will make his long-awaited debut in Australia this year while on tour supporting Mumford and Sons. While in Australia supporting them, Freeman will use his time in Melbourne and Sydney to give fans a much more personal experience than the stadium shows with Mumford and Sons through two solo headline shows.
Freeman’s rise in 2025 was driven by the viral success of his standout track If You Know Me, a raw and emotionally charged alt-folk anthem that introduced the Brooklyn-based artist to a global audience. The song’s simple but haunting guitar riff and deeply personal lyricism quickly struck a chord with listeners, with critics praising its “dusty alt-folk” sound and heartfelt delivery.
Blending folk intimacy with indie and slowcore textures, Freeman has built a reputation for honest songwriting and understated performances that draw listeners into his world. After years of quietly honing his craft, the success of “If You Know Me” pushed him into the spotlight, marking a new chapter for one of indie folk’s most compelling emerging voices.
Now, Australian fans will finally have the chance to experience Freeman’s songs in their most personal form – performed solo, just voice and guitar.
