Jagwar Ma’s Swirly Psychedelia

Jagwar Ma were an act of high acclaim for me with that so-easy-to-press-repeat-straight-away track Come and Save Me that circulated the internets this time last year. Their un-obnoxious brand of techno-y psychedelia is friendly, fun and in my opinion should be encouraged on boozy dancefloors.

In their newest release The Throw, they blend soulful backing calls with jungle beats as the singer, Gab Winterfield, weaves his high pitched vocals over the top. In the video clip, directed by Andrew Lancaster, we see Gab dancing on a Sydney rooftop, tinted in sepia while blocks of colour swirl and transform around him as the track builds up.
