And rightly so, the guy is a genius. A a shirtless genius. If you haven’t jumped onboard the Kirin bandwagon yet, then firstly, why not? and secondly, here’s another reason to.
Yup, it’s the new cut from the Sydneysider. Landslide is taken from his debut album EMBRACISM and comes off the back of his CMJ marathon—of which the New York Times noted him “summoning jackhammer industrial beats or fortresses of reverb around his deep, theatrical singing.” Translation: he was the fucking bomb.
The clip was directed by Vincenzi Vandella (Midnight Juggernauts), at a secluded quarry.
Kirin returns to Australia after a bunch more European and US shows (w/ Cut Copy & Jenny Hval) to play Laneway Festival in 2014, sideshowing with Savages at Melbourne’s Hi-Fi and Sydney’s Metro.
