The Fauns, Seven Hours – Music video

This Bristol five-piece might just have delivered your new favourite song. It’s certainly a fitting musical accompaniment to the ridiculous weather that has been spitefully ruining picnics, romantic walks and simply being able to negotiate Her Majesty’s country without soggy socks and frizzy hair of late.

The Fauns create dark, brooding music, lifted elegantly by the velveteen vocals of Alison Garner. They’re set to release their newest record, Lights, in March – following their 2009 self-titled offering. The featured track, Seven Hours, is an effect-laden splendour, and it’s got a video to match, created by John Minton (previously responsible for Portishead’s live visuals and Savages’ video for Husbands). Hazy, colourful visuals shroud the band as they sway through this grungy number.

The Fauns have a handful of gigs coming up so you can see them IRL playing with French post-rockers Alcest, on the following dates (bring your brolly). Or you can stay safe and cosy under your covers and check them out on Facebook, here.
