Melbourne five-piece Smoke Rings recently dropped their latest single, ‘Happiness’. Recorded with producer extraordinaire, Malcolm Besley (City Calm Down, The Creases, Northeast Party House), the bittersweet new tune is taken from their double A-side 7″ Go To Hell and gives a big nod to 90’s Britpop. When we lived in Canada, Lauren’s old work friend mentioned they played in a band. Turns out they were called Alvvays and happened to be really really good. This is one of the best chorus’s, such a simple, beautiful song…makes us happy.
KURT VILE – WAKIN’ ON A PRETTY DAZE
Super chill song that was our summer soundtrack a few years back. This song coasts along so nicely and never loses it’s charm.
DIIV – UNDER THE SUN
This is song is soaked in reverb and makes me want to dance on the kitchen table.
