Our Top Ten tunes of the week – October 10

Here are the songs that have been lighting our fireworks over the past few days:

1. Julia Jacklin – Body

Julia is currently finishing up a month-long tour throughout the US in support of First Aid Kit, and will head to the UK in November for a series of her own headline dates, which sold out in less than a week.

2. Georgia Mae – Fools

We recently got to know Georgia. She’s now dropped another video and it’s great. Here it is…

3. Thom Yorke – Has Ended

Here’s the second track to be released in advance of Thom Yorke’s Suspiria (Music for the Luca Guadagnino Film). The album will be released Friday 26 October.

4. POND – Sixteen Days

The band embark on an extensive North American headline tour this October and November before returning to Australia to round out the year with performances at Meredith, Fairgrounds, Festival of the Sun and Jungle Love.

5. Cosmo’s Midnight – Talk to Me

Taken from their debut album What Comes Next, the video chronicles Cosmo’s quest to save his forgotten house party plans via a “Talk To Me” service, which sees cameos from Touch Sensitive, Nina Las Vegas, Tyde Levi, Tkay Maidza and more.

6. Meg Myers – Jealous Sea

Meg channels her inner powers in her new video, taken from her new album, “Take Me To The Disco”. She’s touring the US over the next couple of months.

7. Denise le Menice – Heart

Denise le Menice is the solo project of Ali Flintoff, also known as the lead singer and songwriter for feminist punks Boat Show and frontwoman of Dream Rimmy.

8. Drunk Mums – Phantom Limb

Melbourne’s excellent Drunk Mums have returned! Give their new track a listen.

9. Rackett – Tried to Quit

After having a huge year out on the road through 2017 and 2018 playing over 150 shows and releasing their EP ‘Ready Or Not’, Rackett are back with their new single.
