Getting to know Nathan Ball

London-based indie-rock artist Nathan Ball has just released his new single. We asked him to tell us about himself:

I am… Nathan Ball, a singer songwriter from the UK.

Call It Love is… my new single. I wrote it with my guitarist and producer Max in a little studio he set up in his bedroom. As more and more instruments came in there wasn’t enough room for his bed anymore, so he decided to move his bed into the garage and sleep there. Winter hit pretty hard and he started getting ill, but we got ‘Call it Love’ out of it!

Home is… all over the place at the moment, it’s been a pretty wild year of travelling around. I actually wrote a song called ‘Right Place’ which is about the idea of home being more of a feeling whether that be a place or around a certain person, so I’d say home is a lot of places at the moment.

I spend too much time… watching snowboard videos on Instagram. I’ve been hooked on snowboarding from the age of four and lived up in the mountains for a while, so I waste far too much time daydreaming about that and watching film clips.

I’ve never… drunk a whole coffee, I hate the stuff but am trying to get into it!

It might surprise people to learn that… I speak fluent French.
